Kim Leine (born 28 August 1961) is a Danish-Norwegian novelist. In his adult life, he has lived and worked as a nurse for three years in Nuuk and since then for many years in various places in East Greenland, and during those stays many empathetic, harsh and heartwarming stories have come out. Among other things, Kim Leine has been rewarded with The Golden Laurels, Nordic Council Literature Prize as well The Crown Prince Couple's Culture Prize.
The Sleepless is Kim Leine's Tasiilaq novel. It runs over a single summer day at a yellow hospital in 2025.
